Use the site’s handling procedures
Ask the responsible site operator how empty pallets should be staged for that location and equipment. An online space estimate is not approval for a stack height, fire layout or handling method. Follow the applicable site procedures and qualified assessment.
Separate visible problems
Keep damaged or unstable pieces out of a stack intended for reuse. Record loose components, protruding fasteners and unexplained contamination without handling unsafe pieces. Make those conditions visible to the person planning collection.
Reserve access in the plan
The pallet rectangle is only part of the storage area. Aisles, turning, doors, equipment access and any required clearances need their own allocation. Revisit the layout when the size mix or quantity changes rather than assuming the previous arrangement still works.
