How to Photograph Pallets for a Quote

Capture the views that help identify size, design, markings, damage, and total volume.

Show scale and construction

Photograph the whole pallet from above and from the side, with actual length and width recorded separately. Include entry openings and supports. A perspective photo without measurements cannot reliably communicate a footprint or deck arrangement.

Show the variation

For a mixed lot, photograph each size and condition group, the overall stack, representative damage and ownership or treatment marks. Say which pieces could not be inspected. Avoid presenting the best-looking unit as representative of every piece.

Keep private information out

Exclude people, licence plates, sensitive documents and customer labels where practical. Photos attached to an enquiry are shared with the review team and relevant handling parties. Use them to explain the material rather than to expose unrelated site information.

Keep these questions together

  • Show the full stack
  • Include close damage views
  • Photograph markings and dimensions
